This winter hike starting from Val Louron takes you to a wild viewpoint overlooking the Louron Valley: the Rocher de Courtalets.
From Val Louron, head toward the Sapins chairlift. The trail begins there, marked as route no. 9, and winds through the beautiful Lapadé forest. With its snow-covered fir trees, the forest feels like a little piece of Canada — a truly magical place!
The trail first leads you to a viewpoint where you can admire the forests and the rugged peaks of the Louron Valley. Continue climbing, now following trail no. 10: you’ll soon emerge into mountain pastures, where the view opens up once again, offering sweeping panoramas over the entire Louron Valley.
Return the same way to the viewpoint. The hike then loops back by continuing along trail no. 9.

Winter route — proceed at your own risk: make sure you are properly equipped and check the conditions before setting out.
At the belvedere, do not go near the edge of the cornice!
