In the heart of the Clarabide “sanctuary”, the Soula Refuge is located less than two hours’ walking from the Pont de Prat parking area, via the spectacular mule path through the Clarabide Gorges. It can be a wonderful destination for family walks: wildlife (Pyrenean chamois…), flora (Pyrenean lilies…), and the surrounding peaks reward the effort of the hike! It is also an interesting stopover for fishermen, trail runners, or experienced hikers: from the refuge, it is possible to reach the lakes of Caillaouas, Isclots, or Pouchergues, cross passes toward Spain or the Luchonnais massif, or set out to climb the surrounding “3,000-meter peaks” (Pic de l’Abeillé, Gourgs Blancs…).

Renovated in 2026, the Soula Refuge opens its doors to you for a break in the heart of this preserved landscape: you will find a warm welcome for a daytime meal or an overnight stay, in the traditional mountain atmosphere of the refuge. Please remember to book your overnight stay.
